Dr. Udo Simonis is emeritus professor at Das Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung (WZB), Germany. His research focuses on global environmental policy and ecological restructuring of economy and society. He is the author and a co-author of numerous articles in international volumes and journals such as the Universitas, International Quarterly for Asian Studies, Environmental Values etc., editor of the Jahrbuch Ökologie (Ecology Yearbook) and book series Beiträge zur kommunalen und regionalen Planung (Contributions to local and regional planning). He held membership in the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) of the United Nations. In 2011 professor was awarded the Environmental media prize of German Environmental Aid Association (DUH) for his lifetime achievements.
Phil Tulba is is a freelance social enterprise consultant, presenter and trainer. He is also director and vice-chairman of Adrenaline Alley, the UKs largest BMX and skatepark based in Corby, Northamptonshire. He has wide experience of supporting innovation in health and public sector service delivery working with managers to implement practical and effective solutions to improve planning, management and performance. He is also Director of Freestream Ltd, a management consultancy offering a range of services to public, private and civil society organisations. A social enterprise professional who started his career with a homeless charity, Phil moved to Sports Social Enterprise Development Manager for Social Enterprise East Midlands and has also previously worked for The Young Foundation as Social Entrepreneur in Residence and Enterprise UK as Head of Social Enterprise. Phil now works as an independent social enterprise consultant, is a SFEDI accredited social enterprise and business advisor and works on a range or projects and assignments both in the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia - www.tulba.co.uk. Phil’s interests are as broad and varied as his upbringing: one of 21 children, born in Sudan and an international athlete. Having come to Britain at 6 he grew up on a council estate and eventually worked his way into university and has a Master’s degree in Information Technology.
Dr. Dalia Štreimikienė is professor at Business Economics and Management Department at Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities, Lithuania since 1997. The main field of her research interests include sustainable development issues, environmental and climate change mitigation policies in energy sector. She has been regularly invited to work as an expert on sustainable development, climate change mitigation and environmental and social issues for European Commission, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, United Nations Development Programme, UNFCCC Secretariat, World Energy Council, Nordic Council of Ministers etc. D. Štreimikiene provides consultancy services for Ministry of Environment of Republic of Lithuania and takes active part in preparation on National communications to UNFCCC. D. Streimikiene has published about 50 articles on the issues of sustainable development and quality of life in international peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Tomasz Bernat is professor at University of Szczecin, Poland. He is the manager of the FP7 project Pro-ecological restructuring for job (PRORES).
